Dear Colleagues and Friends,

Thank you for attending our conference.
The organising committee will publish the date of the next conference as soon as possible.
Pulmonary vascular disease in neonates, children and adolescents has many faces and often has a devastating impact on the patientsí prognosis. Major advances in the understanding of pulmonary vascular disease have led to improved diagnostic and therapeutic strategies. Although infants and children have also benefited from these advances, challenges remain in the understanding of age-related etiologies and the design of appropriate paediatric treatment strategies. Emerging data, specically related to the paediatric age group, are affecting current strategies to improve the outcome of this multifarious disease in infancy and childhood.
Conference objectives
The objective of the 2nd European conference was to share current scientic evidence regarding diagnosis, treatment and outcome of neonates, children and adolescents with diseases of the pulmonary circulation. A broad international faculty discussed the optimal application of this recent knowledge in clinical management of patients with these challenging diseases. Also attention was devoted to the specific dificulties in the conduct of clinical trials in paediatric pulmonary vascular disease.
Target Audience
The conference is intended for paediatric cardiologists and pulmonologists, neonatologists, paediatric critical care physicians, general paediatricians and respective fellows. There will be dedicated sessions for physician assistants, specialized nurses and other health care workers with an interest in pulmonary vascular disease.
