Dear Colleagues and Friends,
It was our great pleasure to have you -once again- to Groningen, the Netherlands, to participate in the
2nd European Conference on Neonatal and Paediatric Pulmonary Vascular Disease that took place October 8 - 9, 2015 at the University Medical Center Groningen (Hanzeplein 1, 9713 GZ Groningen)
Pulmonary vascular disease in neonates, children and adolescents has many faces and often has a devastating impact on the patients’ prognosis. Major advances in the understanding of pulmonary vascular disease have led to improved diagnostic and therapeutic strategies. Although infants and children have also benefited from these advances, challenges remain in the understanding of age-related etiologies and the design of appropriate paediatric treatment strategies. Emerging data, specically related to the paediatric age group, are affecting current strategies to improve the outcome of this multifarious disease in infancy and childhood.
